It is the last few days of #blogtober17 and I must say thank heavens! It has been pretty stressful this year because Faye now sleeps through most nights which is the time last year that I wrote everything. My content hasn’t been as interesting as I wanted but it has been nice and freeing to just write and be a bit less stressed about it being perfect as there simply wasn’t enough time.

Besides from being super busy with blog work this week (ah gift guide preparation is underway. Anyone else manic?) we have done loads of things outside this week which has been really really lovely. I find it always calms my head to just get out the house.

We popped out into the garden one afternoon because even though it had been raining for days we all wanted sone fresh air. We topped up the bird feeder and the next day we had so many little visitors it was lovely especially for the kids to see.

We had collected loads of leaves in the garden so the next day in the afternoon we did some crafting and made these wonderful leaf people / creatures. We wrote a blog piece as part of #littlemakes which is up on the blog now if you want to give them a go too.

Miffy sent us some books and it is safe to say that Faye loves them. Aiden has always been a HUGE bookworm and still prefers to read above all else  (except maybe Lego but it is close) but Faye has only just started getting into books.  Review will be up shortly and I think I have read each one a hundred times in the last few days already.

I am working on a series of posts with that old saying “there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes” in mind. Mountain Warehouse sent us this huge “haul” (am I using that right?!) I was very impressed and actually surprised by the excellent quality of their products.

Off on a wee walk to the park and to visit friends who live nearby. Aiden is embracing his inner model and loved how soft his new jumper is. I was extremely impressed that Faye kept her new hat on too. I think she also likes the softness.

I got sent this photo from Keith when I had nipped out to pick up a present for his birthday tomorrow. Apparently they both needed their own seat in their Star Wars rebel spaceship…

  1. Lovely photos as ever. The kids do look very happy with their new outdoor clothes. I’m a big fan of Mountain Warehouse! With the kids all being Scouts and doing lots of camping and hiking, plus my eldest’s love of mountains, we spend a lot of time and money in there – although everything is really good value, so we would definitely spend more elsewhere!
