This is the week my parents moves to Oban! I am so excited and so glad that they are finally in their new home.
What do you do with two sick kids who don’t want to go out? Stick a tarp down and do arts. There was a lot of glitter… everywhere! And I was still finding it between the kids toes after several baths. The kids really love glitter and I can’t blame them as I do too but it really really does get everywhere.
I have wanted to try melted crayon art for ages as Pinterest makes it look so easy. Truth is it took a fair amount of time to prepare the crayons and have them all stuck down and then a good while to get them to melt with the hairdryer however it looks amazing when it does all melt and Aiden and Faye were fascinated by it all.
I got sent some really cool frames that store up to 50 of the kid’s art each and are designed so you can change the drawings over really simply without taking the frame off the wall. I decided to create a whole art gallery wall to showcase the kid’s art. I have a few more little frames to get but I am happy with how it looks so far.
We got enough sun and dry weather to be able to paint some of the decking although not all of it. I am amazed at how much of a difference it makes. It looks good as new and I can’t wait to finish it.
You can take the girl out of Liverpool but not the Evertonian. As the sun was out Aiden wanted to wear shorts and then suddenly we had complete strips on and these two team mates were on top form.
We had a contracted come round to price up a fair few jobs in the house including moving the kitchen. We also popped to take a look at a few displays at Homebase and I rather liked this one.
Tesco phoned to say we could come in and collect some donations they had for the Lego club and again I have been so happy to see the local community and businesses get behind this.
